Modular Design and Compliance Assurance
Our containment systems offer a flexible solution to deliver critical services safely and efficiently to wards, bays, theatres and private rooms.
Rapid Deployment and Installation Efficiency
- Pre-fabricated delivery: Trunking is supplied fully assembled and pre-piped for medical gas, allowing for quick, easy installation by the client’s team or through our full installation service
- Easy to update: The modular design ensures future upgrades or reconfigurations of services (power, data, comms, etc.) are both straightforward and cost-effective
- Design and review process: We provide a basic CAD drawing at the quote stage, followed by detailed 2D CAD drawings for client review, discussion and sign-off before production commences
Compliance and Clinical Safety
Our containment solutions meet and exceed all essential requirements for the UK healthcare sector, giving you complete assurance over patient safety and long-term reliability.
- Our solutions comply with HTM 08-03 (bedhead services) and HTM 02-01 (medical gas pipeline systems), ensuring set distances for gas terminals and power sockets are correctly adhered to
- Trunking is fully segregated to ensure gases, power and communications remain in separate channels
- Meets the requirements of BS 7671 (The IET Wiring Regulations), BS EN ISO 1197 and BS EN 60601
Product Range
Our containment solutions are available in two primary formats, both offering fully bespoke dimensions to fit any wall space or clinical requirement:

Horizontal – Medical Services Trunking (MST)
- The horizontally mounted modular system, ideal for standard wards, theatres and treatment rooms, available in single or double-banked configurations to maximize service capacity
- Available in fully bespoke configurations (e.g., depth 90mm, riser width 280mm, height of horizontal span 350mm) with engraving options available
- Can be supplied as a standard quick-delivery option (assembly on site) or a fully bespoke, pre-assembled solution

Vertical – Medical Services Columns (MSC)
- Ideal where horizontal space is constrained by obstacles (e.g., windows, doors) or when extensive services are required in a confined space (e.g., ITU departments)
- Available in three standard widths (400mm, 600mm, 800mm) and six standard heights, with fully bespoke options always available
- Includes options for reduced-magnetic requirements and can be manufactured for both sides of the bed to provide additional redundancy
Case Study:
Royal National
Orthopaedic Stanmore
The Royal National Orthopaedic Stanmore is a leading Orthopaedic hospital for London and South East specialising in injuries. It was a brand new build with 5 floors when we took the project in 2017. Firstly we sat with the clinical team to map out a bespoke system that would work for them. The project used IPiN evo and INsite as well as Vocera.
Find Out MoreThanks to both Steve & Angelette for making the systems available, you certainly stepped up to the mark with your timely help and assistance and showed the Wandsworth Group in a very good light
